Artist's Inspiration

Columns held a significant role in the ancient Roman Empire. They often served as crucial supports for palace ceilings and added an aesthetic touch to temples.

For us, they symbolize the glory of the Roman Empire. The broken column is meant to illustrate that everything is finite and that even a great empire like the Roman Empire eventually falls.

Nevertheless, one's end is another's beginning and that is portrayed in the candle's flame seen through the gap in the sculpture.

Approximate Burn Time: 40 hours.

Ingredients: soy wax, beeswax, fine fragrance, essential oil, cotton wick.

Vessel: Each of our handmade vessels is a unique work of art. The nature and beauty of this handcrafted process results in slight variations of color and texture. After you have finished burning your candle, the vessel can be reused as part of your home decor.

All of Joy Spread's products are gluten and cruelty-free, and contain no phthalates or parabens.

Candle Care

Trim candle wick before each use, for a better burning experience.

To prevent wax tunneling, burn candle until the melt pool reaches the edge. It takes 3-4 hours.

Such a beautiful piece to have

Well made and sturdy, this candle adds a certain "je ne sais quoi" to elevate your space. I light it whenever I'm working on writing my story about greek myths - a match made in heaven. Now that the wick and wax are gone, I filled it with fairy/string lights and still get faint whiffs of the scent. The New Beginning smell is phenomenal, by the way. Perfectly soft, subtle, and refreshing without overpowering the citrus or woody tones - seriously. You won't regret having it!

Exactly what I was looking for!
